Dr. Salvatore Lotardo is a highly educated, talented Nesconset cosmetic dentist and general dentist who is dedicated to perfecting his skill through continuing education seminars and courses. This commitment allows Dr. Lotardo to offer his Nesconset, St. James and Ronkonkoma cosmetic dentistry and general dentistry patients leading-edge treatments that deliver exceptional results. Read on to learn what Dr. Lotardo says about his practice and patient care philosophy.

I guess you can say I'm a Long Islander through and through. I grew up in Hauppauge and graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a BS degree in Chemistry. I then went on to attend the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and finished up with a residency at Northport V.A. Medical Center.

So the familiar surroundings of Nesconset seemed a perfect place to start my private practice career. I must admit that starting a practice from "scratch" was a major challenge even with the support of friends and family at the onset. However, eventually the word got out among general and cosmetic dentistry patients that my staff and I pride ourselves on exceptional patient service and the highest quality of dental care.

I really feel our practice evolved with the times and technology. Rather than just jumping on any gimmick that came along, we carefully evaluated technologies and new techniques to enhance our patients’ health care experience and cosmetic options. In addition to investing in the best for our patients (including digital X-rays for less radiation, laser surgery for fast healing, ZOOM whitening for one day bleaching), I have accumulated over 500 hundred hours of continuing education over the past few years. I enjoy learning and trying to master the many disciplines encompassing general dentistry.

With a zest for furthering my knowledge and clinical abilities, I have expanded my interest toward implants and orthodontics. I have completed a two-year program in orthodontics and have obtained certification in implant surgery and prosthetics, including extensive training in the latest “All on Four” dental implant technique. I know that this broad base in education will enable me to help you make the best choices for your dental care needs.

In order to keep up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques, I maintain professional memberships with several dental organizations, including the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Obviously, I enjoy what I do; but my personal life with my wife Melissa, who is a hygienist at our office, our two sons Luke and Lennon and our daughter Stella makes it all worthwhile. And yes, Lennon is named after John of the Beatles. When you come into my office and see my shrine to the Beatles, you'll get the idea. As you can already tell, I am extremely passionate about my music and am a lead guitarist for a local cover band called Panic. I build guitars for fun and enjoy playing tennis.

If you are visiting this site to see if our practice is right for you, I hope these words express what we are about and encourage you to come by the office and see one of our Nesconset / Hauppauge dentists. If you are a current patient just looking for information, I hope the site is useful, and of course all suggestions are welcome.
